Homemade Date Spread

Dates are a perfect natural sweetener: they are gooey, taste like caramel and can be used as a healthy alternative to candy and all processed sugars. Here’s the easiest way to make an amazing paste out of them.

Ingredients

200g dates

200g water (add a little more water if you want to use it as a syrup)

Pinch of salt

For a seasonal variation, add 1g of cinnamon or pumpkin spice

Instructions

Blend all ingredients on high speed until smooth.

Check consistency: if too thick, add water. If too liquid, add a date.

Use to sweeten your favorite foods and recipes: yogurt, granola, cereal, pancakes, oatmeal, muffins, cookies and even with vegan cheese!

Keep in your fridge for about 10 days.
